Last time we looked into seed time and harvest and the principles that can affect it.
Gen. 8: 22 1) Cold and heat 2) Winter and summer 3) Day and night.
Now let's look at sowing and reaping. Gal 6:7 says; Do not be deceived God is not mocked
for whatever a man sows, that he will reap. You see God is not going to be made a fool of. We will reap
from the seed we sow, and it will be after the likeness of the seed sown. If I sow tomato seeds I won't
get strawberries! Gen. 1:11 Then God said "let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and
the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind." Gen. 1:12 "And the earth brought forth grass, the herb
that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to
its kind". This principle is in effect for all people, Christian or non Christian, God has no respects of persons. It's on all who live on the earth for as long as the earth remains or you remain on the earth. We as Christians need to thoroughly know and understand this principle. Though we strive to sow only the good seeds of righteousness we find ourselves may times sowing some bad seed. We need to learn how to raise up good
seed to a full harvest and how to pull up and stop a bad harvest. (Gal 6:8) The biggest problem all people
have is connecting the seed sown to the harvest reaped, because seed time to harvest is not instantaneous
There are factors involved like germination time, watering, growing time. I have a package of tomato seeds and on the back it says the plants germination time is indeterminate meaning they don't know in advance just how long these seeds will take to get out of the ground, but once out of the ground you can start picking the harvest in about 78 days. A package of peppers says 75 days and we know if we plant an apple seed it
will take years before we see any apples. We unfortunately don't have this kind of knowledge about the spiritual things we sow. This is what the word says about sowing in the Kingdom of God. Mark 4: 26- 29 "The Kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground and should sleep by night and rise by
day, and the seed should sprout and grow he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by
itself first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head." You see the seed itself is
programmed to get to the harvest. It's not our job to make the seed grow it's Gods job. So what do I do
in the meantime? Because the meantime can sometimes get real mean! 1) KEEP SOWING!!! Ecclesiates11:1 says Cast your bread upon the water, for you will find it after many days. You want
a harvest to start coming in on every wave. 2) Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean
not on your own understanding. 3) Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be known to God. 4) Hebrews 10: 23 Let us hold fast
the confession of our hope without wavering for He who promised is faithful. 5) Last of all Galatians 6:4
And let us not grow weary while doing good for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. DON'T
GIVE UP YOUR HARVEST WILL COME! It has too God is not going to be MOCKED!
What about bad seed sown?? The word says in John 2:2 He Himself (Jesus) is the propitiation
for our sins (bad seed) and not for ours only but also the whole world. JESUS DIED WITH A LOT OF BAD CROPS ON HIS SHOULDERS! What do I do? John 1:9 says If we confess our sins He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins and to cleans us from all unrighteousness. Jesus said in Luke 13:3 "I tell you no;
but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. How do we pull up and stop a bad crop? JUST REPENT!
Jesus took on our failures and bad harvests and gave us his good standing with God. Just receive the free
gift!
Blessings,
Paul

July 2007
Greetings,
These days we hear a lot about sowing and reaping. It seems to be quite the buzz at the
pulpit, usually a little heavier on the sowing side than the reaping. Personally I like the reaping side to be honest,
but it doesn't come without the sowing first. Like so many principles on this planet it works in tandem or cycles.
So I'm going to write a little about this in the next couple of months. Let's start with some foundational scriptures.
Gen.8:22 " While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and
summer, and day and night shall not cease" This is a very popular scripture, but lets put it in
context so we understand at what period of time God said this. It was spoken after the great flood
and the destruction of what I call the first world. Gen.8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took of every
clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offering on the alter. Gen.8:21 And the Lord smelled a
soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in his heart "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake..." You see
this is God's covenant with creation for man's sake. He goes on in Gen.8:22 to declare the principles of life or
how things will work on this planet. There are four principles here that will impact your life one way or another.
1. Seed time and harvest, 2. Cold and heat, 3. Winter and summer 4. Day and night. These principles will not cease
while the earth remains or for as long as you remain on this earth. In Romans 1:20 it says "for since the creation
of the world his invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal
power and God head." We can understand spiritual principles by observing natural things. We are only going to look at
the seed time--harvest principle at this time, though I believe the latter principles 2-4 greatly effect the out come
of the primary SEED TIME--HARVEST. Let me just say a little about these principles. You might feel a little cold and
lonely now, it will heat up! You might be going through a winter time with trials and tribulations. We all go through
these times, don't despair or give up! Summer is on the rise. If your in the dark about anything, God has sent his
Son the light of the world just step into the light. As I writing this I am reminded of the scripture in Ecclesiastes
3:1,2 "To everything there is a season, A time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, A time to die; A time
to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted.
You're probably wondering what's my point? What's my goal? My point and goal is this! To
stir up your righteous souls to the fact that there's more to it than just throwing your seed out
there! My goal is that you don't sow to the wind and reap a whirlwind. My desire is that everyone I
touch reaps a blessing. This month let me stir up your soul to meditate on these principles and
may God give you insight and revelation. Heb 10:24
Blessings,
Paul
